How Do You Do So Much?

I'm sure we've all had occasions when we've looked on in awe and wondered, perhaps out loud, how someone's able to fit in as much as they do. While we're still pondering tonight's dinner menu they may well have been to the gym, organised the food shop, made several important calls, volunteered at a local charity and completed an important piece of work.

How do they do so much?

     - Being organised is the key to getting things done. Without organisation things can become too random, dipping in and out of tasks with very little focus or planning. Lists can be an efficient way of introducing order and method, so enabling things to be sorted by degree of urgency.

     - Some things are too big or complicated to tackle in one go. Input or a contribution may be required from a third-party, so being efficient is about passing things on quickly so that each person can tackle their part. Keep an eye on what's going on and where individual tasks are up to.

     - Delegating is a valuable tool in a busy life. Being precious and insisting on doing everything yourself may feel like an important position to protect, but not everything needs to be jealously guarded. Let others help, share in the story and maybe come up with new, even better ideas. It motivates everyone when they're included as part of the team.

     - Don't wait for everything to be perfect before you start. There's no need to practice-run every possible scenario or set of circumstances in advance. Often things come together well enough once you begin. Allow your mindset to be flexible and receptive to different possibilities and enjoy where it takes you unless it's one of those times when it's essential to follow very specific criteria.

     - Double up. Some social arrangements could, under normal circumstances, potentially be combined. Eating out, seeing a show or concert and catching up with friends may successfully maximise your time and create almost a party atmosphere. Equally business networking combined with a game of golf pulls together two areas of life, as does exercising or enjoying a hobby with family or friends.

     - Hire help. Certain routine or mundane tasks like ironing, cleaning and gardening may be worth outsourcing. It may be worth paying good money to free up your time for other things. Equally, tasks outside your area of expertise may be better done by someone else, rather than having you spend hours agonising over your accounts, admin or design work.

     - Learn to say 'no' appropriately. When we work for ourselves or are new to a location, are keen to fit in and be accepted it can be tempting to say 'yes' and agree to everything. Sometimes we need to review what we're already committed to, or we may run ourselves ragged, trying to accommodate everything and everybody.

     - Take regular breaks and recharge. A twenty-minute break gives enough time to eat a healthy snack, hydrate, maybe get outside for some fresh air. Often people find that they then return to work with a clearer mind and renewed enthusiasm for the job in hand.

     - Remember to give yourself credit for each achievement. Rather than systematically working your way through your list, instead, pause to appreciate each stage of the journey, every task completed.

And sometimes might it be relevant to ask yourself why you do so much, why you allow your time to be so fully occupied. Some people are constantly busy because they need to be in control and are loathe to pass on work to others for fear it may result in them being cut out of the loop, it may allow others to be seen to do a better job or have their mistakes and shortcomings discovered.

FOMO, fear of missing out, having something to prove, trying to be indispensable, not wanting to let go of the reins and filling every second with meaningful activity can all create their own stress.

But then, there are those people who are eager to try everything that's on the menu, can't wait to sample every option that's on offer. Whilst not wanting to dampen their enthusiasm too much, it's also important to take time to rest, savour, rehearse and make the best choices for you. Enjoy doing one thing at a time. You can always return another day and try a different delicacy.

Overcoming 2020... 3 Learnings to Set Yourself Up for 2021

January 1, 2020... this was the day, I am sure, that you had pegged as the beginning of a phenomenal new chapter in your life. 2020 was going to be THE YEAR!

The year you get it together and smashed your goals begin living the life of your dreams and propel yourself into abundance!

I am convinced that's what you had planned... then 2020 happened!

It has been a year of massive frustration and uncertainty where many people have not felt in control and have been exposed to a myriad of influences... predominantly mental and emotional, which has left many feeling hopeless and overwhelmed.

It is a bit of a dark and blunt assessment, but this has been the reality for many, and has been added onto by the restriction of liberties and individual ability to exercise freedoms too often taken for granted!

Reflecting back at how 2020 has manifested we fall into the trap of thinking "I hope that never happens again... " but where we have a massive benefit to take away from all that transpired is that we were, collectively, forced out of our comfort zones and the safety that our routines kept us in!

Now I know that many on the extremities did not fair well; redundancy, insolvency, grief, separation and even death were all afflictions experienced by many.

However, for you and I, we were able to confront the challenges imposed on us and treat 2020 as a year of change and of growth where we had to innovate, establish new or better routines and habits.

We also had to assess what we allowed ourselves to be entertained or inspired by...
Effectively the circumstances in 2020 helped strip back all non-essential 'fillers' in our lives and we got to a point of a blank canvas.

This then allowed us to design and decorate our lives accordingly!

As in all circumstances, it is not what happens to us that matters but it is how we respond that will either grow us or regress us.

So, 2020 may have been mediocre, it may have been disastrous, or it may have been phenomenal... the choice is yours to make!

Now I urge you to not let 2020 drift away as you move towards 2021 with a lukewarm mindset and enthusiasm.

You have a brilliant opportunity to set yourself up early for MASSIVE SUCCESS, way ahead of the masses who will only begin to start 'wishing' for some form of luck or prosperity on the 1 January 2021.

Take the time you have, between now and December 31, 2020, to make the changes you know you need to make.

Develop and detail out your goals, your desires and the new life of abundance that you are going to grow into!

Become the person, now, who your future self will be proud of.

The question is how?

Many people will get stuck at this question and not be able to move on from this. However, as a growth-minded individual who has deeper mindfulness about success, you recognise that better questions lead to better results.

With a better series of questions, you will experience a better analysis and assessment of yourself!

3 Learnings

  1. Take control: one thing that has become apparent is that people have given away control... in particular, control of their mindset and what they allow to affect them. Your perceptions, ideas and ability to think are great gifts that you need to take care of and actively engage to ensure you don't lose them.
  2. Take action: an idle mind is a dangerous mind. What you need to remember is that nothing stands still... you are either growing or regressing. The benefit of taking continuous action is that you build a momentum that allows you the agility to respond to changes or obstacles. Taking action also develops a resilience which puts you in a great position to be able to bounce back and recover from unknowns and short-term failures. Taking action also inspires the focus needed to ensure that your concentration is on performance, results, success and the specific outcomes that are going to advance you.
  3. Always focus on your ultimate goal: Linked to the benefits of taking action. By always focusing on your ultimate goal you shift your mindset to the vibration of what good can happen as well as the benefits of potential success. The focus and concentration you expend on your ultimate goal also put your energy in harmony with the results you desire.
It is essential that the way you finish 2020 is how you start 2021... get ahead of the pack and receive your abundance!

Welcome to invincible mind!

We believe in your ability to become phenomenal and that you will have a brilliant, uplifting effect on all those around you when you Unleash Your Ultimate Potential!

Having used the ‘original’ Nutribullet for two years, upgrading to this ‘pro’ version has been a real step up both in terms of power and the larger cup accessories that you get included, and I’m really pleased with the upgrade.

The pro version genuinely gets my morning smoothies smoother (e.g. there are no seeds leftover AT ALL from my blueberries or flax seeds) and the cups are so much bigger so it’s great for when I’m making breakfast for both me and my wife.

I have uploaded a couple of photos to show you what you get as well as how the pro looks.

With the tallest cup on the unit measures 37.5cm high and roughly 12.5cm in diameter (exactly the same as the original model).

In the box you get:

1 x Nutribullet base

1 x Extractor blade

1 x Large cup – enough for two big morning smoothies

1 x Medium cup – which I find is just big enough for one ‘extra-large’ smoothie

1 x Lip ring with handle – I don’t often use this

1 x Flip-op lid – can be handy but again I don’t use often

1 x Stay fresh lid – great if you don’t finish a smoothie and put back in the fridge or if you want to prep your smoothie and blitz later

1 x User manual with recipes – not used

1 x Pocket nutritionist – this is also not useful for me, aimed at those that want to know about fruit and veg benefits

I use my Nutribullet almost daily and its footprint is so small on the kitchen worktop that it’s well-deserving of a permanent space next to our kettle. So I don’t use the pro any more than the original but it just makes a better job of things in my opinion and comes with larger cups.

Build quality feels great too, with the base having a nice weight to it and a brushed metal finish on the body not only feels good but is really easy to keep clean.

I’d highly recommend using frozen fruit as it gets smoothies colder and is often cheaper. I buy all of my frozen fruit direct from the supermarket (already frozen - I use and can recommend Waitrose frozen blueberries) then put them straight into the pro (no thawing!), and the pro blitzes them all up, no problem.

One key thing to note is that I the original accessories I have for my first Nutribullet also fit the pro which is handy so if you too are looking to upgrade make sure you keep everything.

All of the cups are dishwasher safe but I find a quick wash straight after use does the trick.

All in all, I have no criticisms of the pro at all, it’s a great step up from the original and really is just one of those machines that are so fit for purpose. Highly recommended.

What Constitutes "A Healthy Balanced Lifestyle"?

This phrase is one of the most used, and yet most ignored on the planet. In most advertising for snacks/supplements/vitamins etc, the prominent part will tell you about the potential benefits and advantages of the product in question, but there is usually another part that remains invisible despite being put right in front of you: "...as part of a healthy balanced lifestyle." The vital thing to realise is that what seems like a mere footnote, is actually the foundation you should be building first.

There is a growing tendency to assign blame rather than ask a very simple question - "Do I have a healthy balanced lifestyle?" It's far easier to pin your hopes on a single 'magic bullet' that promises to transform you - ignoring that it states plainly that you should first have a healthy balanced lifestyle - and then blame the product when those results don't manifest themselves. What is often harder is looking at your lifestyle as a whole, making positive changes to it, and sticking to those changes.

One of the most common complaints I hear is that there is too much information which leaves people confused and not knowing where to start, so I'm going to keep this as simple as it gets.

Food - do you eat healthily, and avoid eating things that are known to be 'bad' for you? Forget the fine print for a minute, just take a broad view of including fresh healthy food, and excluding the usual suspects from the refined foods (pretty much anything in a packet). Any further nutritional strategies normally branch out from this central idea.

Water - are you drinking sufficient water and avoiding things that may dehydrate you like alcohol, tea, coffee, etc? No need for any calculations about exactly how much water yet, just keep it simple.

Exercise - are you quite active on a regular basis? This doesn't have to mean spinning classes or going cage fighting. Quite simply, does your lifestyle currently regularly include activities that get you moving and get your heart rate and respiration going a little bit? Simple things like gardening, playing with the kids, or just relying more on your body rather than machines for transport will do to start with.

Stress - this really is a big can of worms but just think of the big picture. Do you feel that you currently minimise the stresses in your life that are under your control and do you take time to specifically relax and unwind to counteract the negative effects of stress?

Done.

Yes, you could talk forever about the smaller steps and specifics involved but unless you are looking after these basic things first, fiddling around with one aspect of the fine print is unlikely to suddenly get you that magic result you've been after.

The moral of the story is that you should pay attention to what most advertisers make plain (but not really) - enjoy their products, every now and again, with a healthy balanced lifestyle as your solid foundation.

5 Ways to Achieve More Balance in Your Life

Ways to Achieve More Balance in Your Life

Are You Living a Balanced Lifestyle?

You are what you eat? What a cliché. How about saying it in the more literal sense. "Your health will reflect back onto what you eat"? In fact a persons lifestyle will reflect back on them in every aspect of their life. The ideal standard for good health is a balanced lifestyle. Are you living a balanced lifestyle, physically, mentally, and spiritually? Here is how to tell.

Physical Lifestyle Do you wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and well rested? Are you within your weight by ten pounds? Do you do a physical activity at least once a day to get your heart rate pumping? Perhaps you do one of these. Walk briskly for one hour, exercise or calisthenics, about 45 minutes, sport of your choice, or light aerobic exercise? The body needs physical exercise of some kind once a day. If you work at a desk job you should get up every hour and do some stretches to get the blood flowing. When you get home, take a walk or do some light aerobic exercise.

Do you eat at least four servings of raw fruits or vegetables in one day? Health-wise you should eat at least four servings of raw food a day. Most nutritionists say that eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables ensures you are receiving your daily intake of nutrients your body needs to stay healthy. An example of this is to eat a red apple with your breakfast, a green salad for lunch, a yellow orange for snack, and a purple cabbage slaw with dinner. You get the idea, right?

Emotional / Mental Lifestyle

Emotionally the balanced person does not feel in lack or in need for anything, even if they don't have much. Having stuff is not where happiness lies. Stuff is great to have, no doubt about it, but if we are living our life, just going to work everyday so we can have more stuff that we really don't need, there is an imbalance in our life. Besides work what else do you do? Do you have a hobby or other activity that you partake in?

Some people are mentally and emotionally sick because of past baggage. Perhaps they had an alcoholic parent, or perhaps they felt unloved and abandoned as a child. Whatever it is, you have to move on! Don't keep bringing up a traumatic past when you have your future in front of you! That's not right. Resolve your baggage and heal thyself. Live for today!

Mentally the balanced person feels good about who they are. They are generally have good relationships with others. Having good mental health does not mean you won't ever have negative feelings, but that you won't let your negative feelings to control you and your behavior. It's normal to feel our emotions - that's not what I'm talking about here. If a person is still dredging up the past from months or years ago, something is not mentally balanced within that person. If we have a negative past we have to 18/11/2020 Are You Living a Balanced Lifestyle? https://ezinearticles.com/?Are-You-Living-a-Balanced-Lifestyle?&id=2098406 2/2 resolve it and heal. Life is going to have its stresses and challenges. The mentally healthy face their challenges and resolve them instead of lingering in them.

Spiritual Lifestyle

Co-dependence, addictions, negative feelings, and inadequate relationship skills are because we are too dependent on how the world moves rather than on how God moves. We are too absorbed with the physical elements of our life rather than the spiritual. Where is the balance in that?

I'm not talking about organized religion here. Organized religion is for those people who like to have a guide helping them along the way towards whatever things spiritual they are seeking. Church is a great place to meet like-minded people but church can also stunt your growth. Church leaders are only seed planters, if even that. Once the seed is in your heart and in your mind only your relationship with your Creator will make the seed grow.

I (Paul) planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who makes things grow.

(1 Corinthians 3:6,7)

When someone is new at accepting Christ, by all means they should "go to church" and learn the basic concepts about God and how God works in their life. But eventually that person has to grow and mature spiritually "in the Lord" and going to church is not where that is. Your relationship with God, through your prayers, thoughts, actions, and lifestyle is church! Church is in your heart and mind wherever you may be, and whenever you want it to be. Your spirituality is what you make it to be.

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth. (John 423,24)

Your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health is a precious commodity. Your body and mind is aging every day. That means you're not getting any younger. All areas of your health will decline faster if you don't take care of your health now! You can be in control of your health, if you take control.

Create a Balanced Lifestyle and Begin Living a Happier, Healthier and Enriched Life

Are you living a balanced life?

Many people are not. Their lives are horribly out of balance and their quality of life is being severely compromised as a result. Some people do not even know what a balanced life looks like or how having one will improve their sense of well-being and inner happiness. They have become so stuck within their imbalanced lifestyle that they are not aware of how grave their situation is until a major crisis occurs and they are forced to take a good look at the choices they have been making.

 What is balance?

Having a balanced lifestyle means that you are putting enough time and attention into the different areas of your life in order to feel a sense of satisfaction, happiness and fulfillment.

Major areas of your life include:

- Career

 -Family & Friends

- Significant Other/Romance

- Health

- Money

- Personal/Spiritual Growth

- Physical Environment

A good way to determine the level of balance in your life is to rate your satisfaction and happiness in each of these areas on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 1 being low and 10 being high). A person with a happy and balanced lifestyle will rate each area somewhere between an 8 and 10.

If your life is imbalanced then you may have some areas rated between 8 and 10, and others that are much lower. To create balance, you need to give the areas with a lower score much more time and attention than you have been.

Imagine for a moment that your life is like a car and that each tire represents a specific area of your life. Now imagine that one of the tires is beginning to lose air. You can drive on that tire for some time with no problems, but then one day you will discover (and rather uncomfortably) that it has gone flat. You will constantly feel the thud, thud, thud of the tire trying to make its way down the road, AND if you don't stop, you will eventually wear the tire right out, and driving becomes impossible.

Perhaps that tire represents the area of 'health' in your life. Attention needs to be given to the tire (your health). It has to be repaired and air needs to be put back into it before you can be on your way, unless of course you have a spare in the back of your trunk, and you can fix the problem quickly by just replacing it (ie. you just drink more coffee and eat more sugar to keep you going through the day, and just take another pain killer or antacid when the headache and stomachache get too bad). The old flat tire gets thrown back in the trunk (and living a healthy lifestyle gets put on the backburner).

If you don't get the tire fixed right away (begin living a healthier lifestyle), it will begin to drain even more energy from you, because you know that you have to get it fixed, but don't. As time goes on, and you still haven't done anything to fix the tire, your spare will eventually get a flat as well (because you can only drink more coffee and medicate your problems for so long). This time, there is no spare tire in the trunk to help you out and you are stuck along the road of life without a vehicle to get you anywhere.

My question as a coach is: "Where in your life do you need to put more attention (air in the tire), and if it already has gone flat, what can you do to repair it?"

- Do the exercise stated above and determine which areas need more of your time and attention in order for you to feel happier.

- Become very clear about how the situation is now. Describe in detail each area of your life. Perhaps you rated 'Career, an 8, and 'Family & Friends" a 4. By describing in detail what the '8' in Career looks and feels like, and what the '4' in Family & Friends looks and feels like, you will begin to get a better understanding of what needs to be changed in order to feel more fulfilled and happy.

- Now, create a long term vision for each area. Write in detail how an 8 to 10 would look and feel.

- You are now ready to create a plan that you can begin to implement. Chose one area at a time and determine your own Goals/Intentions that you'd like to develop.

- Outline your Action Steps for each Goal.

- Design your own time-table for completing each Goal.

- If all of this seems too overwhelming to do by yourself, then ask friends and family for help, or hire a coach.

Creating balance in your life is essential if you want to live a healthy, happy and enriched life. Remember, you are your own life's author, the one who is in control, and it is your responsibility to make the conscious choices to make it be the kind of life you want. Balance can be created. Just take one small step at a time and before you know it, you will have it.

"Don't be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. If you can dream it, you can make it so."
